My Bio
Born in 1974 into middle class suburbia, South Africa, Grant was always a quiet kid. He compensated for his awkwardness by drawing for his classmates at school. A graduate of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, his imagery is inspired by science fiction, mythology, horror and satire. Typical of his generation, he has worked in numerous fields including motor manufacture, telecommunications, tattoos and retail.
His influences include Paul Gauguin, Phil Hale, James Jean, Nick Cave, Art Spiegelman, Otto Dix and Inka Essenhigh.
His interests include permaculture, the manufacture of bladed weapons and the death of printed media. He is a confirmed curmudgeon, currently in the process of removing himself from civil society entirely. Even though he does not know you personally and through no fault of your own, he despises you on a deeply personal level.
